2012 Audi Q5 Crankcase Vent Valves

The Engine Oil Separator is part of the positive crankcase ventilation (PCV) system. This part is typically located on the valve cover and is designed to trap engine oil vapors in the device and return the vapors back into the engine crankcase. When this part becomes plugged oil vapors will be ingested into the intake air system and cause excessive oil consumption and smoke from the tailpipe.
