Otto Zimmermann – Coat-Z Brake Disc (Rotor) (Part No.N1000178916ZIC)

Coat-Z Brake Disc (Rotor)

from

$134.87
Since 2008 Zimmermann is offering almost 400 Standard and almost 400 Sports Brake Discs in a coated version named Coat Z. The Zimmermann Coat-Z brake disc provides a protective coating that prevents rust and corrosion, extended rotor life and improved visual appearance. To improve the rust protection during storage and usage, Otto Zimmermann GmbH implements this new Coat-Z technology step by step in its production range. Beside the still optimum function of the brake disc, this coating ensures a consistent attractive appearance. Zimmermann brake discs are usually made of cast iron (with flake graphite) of different qualities; they correspond to the material used for the original spare parts. Therefore, the utilization of such materials (referred to as High Carbon by the competition) has always been a matter of course for Otto Zimmermann.

Product Features:
  • Coat-Z protective anti-corrosion coating
  • No formation of rust at the hub and herewith improved visual appearance
  • Immediate functional capability without removal of the coating before mounting
  • Excellent deceleration action and no distortion of friction ring at high temperatures
  • Substantial weight saving and therefore less unsprung mass
  • Floating mounting enables radial expansion of the brake disc under relatively heavy loads, thus preventing shielding and increasing resistance to heat cracks
  • Hot spots prevented by optimized design of ventilation channels
  • 1:1 exchange of original disc possible
  • Not subject to registration: general ABE certification supplied with disc
  • No conversion required for brake tuning

ATE – Cod Brake Disc (Rotor) (Part No.N1000178917ATE)

Cod Brake Disc (Rotor)

from

$305.60
ATE, a brand of Continental with more than 100 years of experience in brake development, is once again setting the standards in quality, innovation and system expertise. The high-carbon brake discs have a number of positive characteristics – they optimize durability and prevent, for example, brake judder and noise. With extremely low tolerances of max. 30 µm for lateral runout and max. 10 µm for thickness variation, ATE provides ideal aftermarket solutions in its role as a system supplier with OE expertise. The tolerances of the centering bores are also extremely low in order to prevent imbalance and radial runout. This contributes to extending the service life of the wheel suspension and wheel bearings. Depending on the vehicle model, mounting bolts are included with the brake discs at no extra charge. These mounting bolts are used to fix the brake disc to the wheel hub during installation. The bolt symbol on the brake disc label provides a clear indication that mounting bolts are included in the package. The mounting bolts included with ATE brake disc packages are always coated bolts, which reduces their susceptibility to corrosion and increases the longevity of the product. The MetaCote protective coating formulation is cured at approximately 572F. No grease or oil to remove. This helps protect against road salt, brake fluid and other corrosives – sheds water and dirt for clean appearance behind cast spoke wheels. Reduction in overall installation time.

Product Features:
  • OE-equivalent and a direct fit replacement.
  • Patented RotorLife wear indicator.
  • Optimum performance at all temperatures.
  • Reduced rotor wear.
  • less susceptible to noise and vibration.
  • MetaCote protective anti-corrosion coating.
