Standard Piston Rings for Your 2005 Porsche 911

Goetze – Piston Ring Set (Part No.A2050130616GOE)

Piston Ring Set

from

$69.92
Goetze OE piston rings for gasoline and diesel engines, are developed for automobile, light commercial vehicle and heavy-duty applications, come in a wide range of sizes, include the first ring sets introduced for Euro4-compliant engines. The end gap can be a straight cut, angled cut or gas tight type for improved sealing. Radial pressure distribution greatly influences ring performance therefore we modify the pressure distribution according to the individual application. The wear-resistance and running-in behavior of the outer ring surface is defined by selecting from various coating options, which include the high-performance electroplated, thermally sprayed and PVD coatings. Goetze modern oil control rings scrape off oil from the cylinder wall, leaving just the required amount for lubrication. The running surface is the contour of the ring facing the cylinder surface. The objective of this running surface profile is to create a lubrication slot with a hydrodynamic film which the piston ring can slide on without touching the other surface. An optimized asymmetrical-barrelled running surface ensures low lubricant consumption even after a very long running time. Goetze piston rings have anti-scuffing properties that promote smooth engine operation, reduced oil consumption and long engine life. In addition, the Goetze process helps prevent materials from detaching and cracking and aids in environmental protection

Product Features:
  • Maximum durability
  • High wear and corrosion resistance
  • Excellent heat-conducting capacity

Mahle – CP-20 Piston Ring Set (Part No.A2050939947MAH)

CP-20 Piston Ring Set

from

$31.83
MAHLE Original piston rings lead the way in ring technology and innovation for the Aftermarket – after all, MAHLE is the largest manufacturer of piston rings in the world. MAHLE Original rings are at the forefront of light vehicle piston ring technology. Extensive OE connections mean that MAHLE Original rings have the technological edge. Things like the CP-20 oil ring, narrow compression rings, steel compression rings for gasoline engines, low-tension oil rings and coated compression rings for diesels all came from the OE. The MAHLE Original performance line proves time and again that it should be the ring of choice under every hood – regardless of the application. Grey cast iron or ductile iron was traditionally the material of choice for automotive applications – today, steel is preferred over iron by more and more engine builders. Steel compression ring technology has been used in heavy-duty applications for over 30 years. That know-how has become essential to the design and engineering of today’s automotive engines. Steel piston rings offer higher tensile strength, higher yield strength, greater fatigue life, and greater hardness while still offering a lower ring mass. These factors lead to better stress resistance, reduced groove pound-out, longer service life, better conformability, superior oil economy, and improved blow-by control while still lowering friction.

Product Features:
  • Ease of installation makes them the premier choice for rebuilders everywhere.
  • The CP-20 rings can withstand the harsh operating environments in today’s engines.
  • The CP-20 consists of a barrel-faced top compression ring for better seal and quicker break-in, a reverse torsional twist second ring for better oil control
  • The CP-20 design oil ring that is easier to install
  • Chemically polished for better oil drain-back
  • A 20 degree ear angle to ensure side seal around the ring
