Straight forward to change. Simply unplug the sensor use a 7/8 wrench or 02 tool. Just unscrew the sensor out of the exhaust pipe and screw in the new one. Then plug in the new sensor and that's it. If you have a check engine light for the old sensor erase the code. If you do not have the tool to erase the code your local shop can.

The only problem i have with this sensor is that it goes in a 2005 Ford Taurus. If you are buying this to fix a 2005 Ford Taurus, do yourself a favor. Dont buy the sensor, push the Taurus into the nearest body of water instead. Take the bus to work. Trust me. Good sensor though

This was purchased for my 2004 Ford Explorer. Had a O2 sensor code. I think this was a " downstream sensor".. Remember , if you have two sensors , one before and one after the catalytic converter, they have different computer settings. Make sure you read the description on the Advance Auto website ... If you get the wrong one , the error code will not go away , and car still will not run right. My light went out immediately after restarting. Computer read the new sensor!! Happiness!! God Bless all shade tree mechanics!! Keith

Instructions were very confusing. You must re-use your old sensor's connector and splice it onto the new sensor using the connector included with new sensor. It was a pain to wire. I don't trust the connection will hold up. I wish I would have bought one already assembled. I guess I need to read the details next time. I didn't realize they sold garbage like this until I got it home, so that's why I didn't know you had to splice the old connector to the new sensor. There is no way I would buy this again.

Worked right out of the box. Wiring was a snap since it allowed a way to take care of the burnt connectors>

Although there were instructions to install on most car manufacturers, there were no wiring conversions for Subaru. This made the install very difficult.
