used this on an 03 f350 with the 6.0 powerstroke, 10.5 sterling rear, single rear wheel. Fit well and not nearly as painful or dramatic as the other reviews here make it sound. my only issue is that the common attachment point for the intermediate cable is crooked. the right cable extends past the left cable about 1". made a spacer to make up the difference in length and all is well. much better than $120 @ the ford dealer

I bought this as one of the pair of parking brake cables that needed to be replaced on my F350 Superduty. Neither cable fit the truck like it was supposed to. The end that fits on the parking brake fit in the hole. That's the easy part. Then pull the spring back and insert the clipped housing end in the bracket. Release the spring and viola!, the spring is too long. It actually keeps the cable pulled too far and tries to bend into a small arc. Both sides did it, so it isn't a fluke. I thought I could remedy this by hooking it all up and maybe then, the tension in the line would straighten it out. On I plodded and routed the lines and got them up to the frame bracket. Another clip end on the housing that is supposed to just drop into the hole. No dice here either. The rubber washer keeps the clip from going in far enough to engage. Once that was corrected and the lines were in place, I slipped the cables into the connection with the cabe to the parking brake pedal. Wait. Read that again. I slipped them in. Not enough tension on them. So now they are installed and the pedal goes to the floor without ever engaging the parking brake. Now I've either got to replace them with factory ones or find a way to adjust the slack out. These things are not worth the money you save.

This is a fine cable that seems well made and fits as designed, except for the smallest, simplest detail. Instead of the bent wire bracket shown in the photos (which would have been preferable), it came with a bent metal strip. This type of design typically has holes at each end, and is bent to go around the cable such that the holes line up and you stick a screw through both holes. That's all well and good--as long as the holes are the same size! This bracket had one hole the right size, and one that...wasn't. Easily remedied with a drill, but this obvious failure to get the simplest detail right makes you wonder about the rest of the cable.

This cable seems to be made well enough, except for one thing--the grommet that seals the hole in the floor is put on the cable backward. Considering it's in stock exactly nowhere in these parts, returning it wasn't a timely option. In a last-ditch effort I managed to get it off and reinstall it correctly. It was actually easier than I feared, so with a little care it can be done, which is good since it's likely yours will be on backward too. How do I know, you ask? Well, consider that it's also installed backward in the photos. And in several other similar photos around the web. As a result I can't really recommend this cable, but then I can't recommend going elsewhere either since you'll probably get the same cable. So get ready to swap that grommet around!
