The Secondary Air Injection system is an emission control device designed to pump fresh air into the engine exhaust system to reduce harmful emissions. The Air Injection Pump Check Valve will allow air flow in one direction only to prevent an engine back-fire condition.

The distributor is just one piece of this type of ignition system which is typically driven by the engine’s camshaft. The distributor is the device that delivers the ignition spark to the spark plugs at a precise time, and spark timing is critical.
