“Edelbrock part No. 27031 Performer EPS intake manifold is designed for 1986 and earlier 262-400 cubic-inch Chevys. Edelbrock’s Patented Dual-plane, low-rise design with a 180-degree firing order greatly improves torque over a wide rpm range for excellent throttle response. This Performer EPS intake manifold combines a modern runner design with a front mounted oil fill tube for those who want the vintage look of our Classic valve covers with no breathers. Includes Oil Fill Tube (not installed) and matching push-in breather cap. The Oil Fill Tube and Breather are also available separately as No. 4803. This intake manifold is optimized to deliver superior performance with Edelbrock square-bore Performer Series or Thunder Series AVS carburetors. This small-block Chevy manifold has a runner design that’s “”tuned”” for peak torque at 3500 rpm on a 350-inch engine and it’s ideal for power from off-idle to 5500 rpm. Dyno tests showed gains of 5 hp and 9 ft.-lbs. of torque over the Edelbrock Performer intake manifold No. 21011 on a 350 Chevy. From 3000 to 4500 rpm, the increases averaged 5+ ft.-lbs. of torque for more performance where you need it most. This manifold offers a polished finish for a brilliant shine and classic look.”

The 300-261 intake manifolds are designed for square-bore carburetor applications on 1957-86 262-400cid Small Block Chevrolet engines and SBC engines equipped with 1987-91 L98 aluminum Corvette cylinder heads (non-EGR applications). Also, these manifolds will work with any SBC engine equipped with aftermarket cylinder heads, as long as they have a standard port flange opening and mounting bolt locations.

Prevent intake manifold leaks with ARP quality fasteners. They are rated at 170,000 PSI and precision machined for optimum thread engagement. Wide under head flange and companion washers provide even load distribution. Precision rolled threads prevent galling while promoting more consistent torque loading. Facilitates optimum sealing of gasket surfaces. Available in choice of black oxide finish chrome moly or corrosion resistant stainless steel, as well as hex or 12 point heads.
