Sylvania H8 Basic: Halogen Headlight Bulb, Basic Performance, 1 Pack

Used about only 6 month. Every night 30 mins. No more working. I have to replace it.

When we realized one of the headlights on our 2016 Kia Soul EV was burned out, I was dreading the process of replacing it, knowing how difficult that can be in many modern vehicles. I looked up the appropriate bulb on the Advance Auto web site, saw that they carried it and ran right over to get one. The staff there greeted my immediately and offered help. I got the bulb which turned out to be a simple, straightforward, commonly used halogen model, and ran home with it, and a YouTube video later knew what to do. Turned out to be a simple job that didn't even require a tool. The bulb fit perfectly, and offers a warm, bright light. We are very happy with it, and even more happy that it was not a special, expensive bulb.

My neighbor alerted me to the fact that one of the front headlights was out on my 2014 Honda Odyssey EX-L ( yes, the one with the sunroof and rear entertainment system, no big deal) well imagine my embarrassment at being "that guy" driving around with one headlight. I mean who am I Jakob Dylan lead singer of The Wallflowers and songwriter of their 1996 breakout hit "One Headlight"? No, of course not. After literally minutes spent on YouTube searching for the proper instructional video I found that replacing them myself never seemed so possible! All I needed now was the proper bulb. That's where Advanced Auto Parts enters our story, or rather it was I that entered Advanced Auto Parts. The clerk seemed exhausted, beat down from years of being trod over by life's misfortunes and the fell clutch of circumstances past. Nonetheless he was supremely helpful and agreed with my estimation that a car that has given itself to more than a decade of service deserves to have not merely the one burned out headlight replaced but both front headlights, warranting the purchase of what I'm told is referred to as a "2-pack" of headlights. The purchase was as rapid in its execution as it was pleasant. When I returned to my home I enlisted the aid of my children in endeavoring to replace the headlights of our trusted 2014 Honda Odyssey EX-L (and yes if you recall it does have a sun roof as well as rear entertainment system). The removal of the old headlights and installation of the fresh, newly purchased ones was quite literally child's play. Now no longer will I be mistaken for the talented and irreverent Jakob Dylan. No, now I am far closer in approximation to the late great Ben Bullington, acclaimed country doctor, singer, and songwriter of the somewhat obscure 2010 ballad "Two Headlights".
