I buy it by the gallon and use it in my truck, boat, pres...
I initially started using Seafoam after buying an older Carbureted boat engine, that was running very rough on 3 year old low grade gasoline after having sat a while, I couldn't syphon the old gas out due to anti syphon valves in the filler tube. I put in about 10 oz of Seafoam per Gallon in the tank and then started the engine, it finally started and smoked quite a bit due to all the varnish burning up. I then ran the too engine cleaner through the carburetor, the engine went from barely running and stalling to running smoothly and with power.

Buy the small bottles instead
I just started using Seafoam in my engine oil and noticed a big difference during the initial treatment. I also noticed a significant improvement in gas mileage (74,000 miles on it when i started seafoam) after doing the gas treatment, in my truck since day 1 of my new truck purchase (I've never had better then 17.5 MPG and now I get almost 19 MPG).
The product works well, but the container is horrible. I tried both the small bottles and this large gallon container. The small bottles are just a lot easier to handle. With the large gallon container... I end up spilling 1/2 on the ground or the side of my vehicle and the other 1/2 some how manages to get where it needs to go.
I contacted seafoam and I have been told that they are re-designing the container in 6 months and we should see a new container in stores by the end of 2012.
The container also doesn't have a tamper proof seal on the top, so anyone can spill or steal some of the product in the store (hopefully that will be addressed in the new container design for the end of 2012)?
In short
* Great product
* Poor container
Recomendation:
* Made a difference for me (I would buy seafoam again)
* I would never buy the 1 gallon container, just stick with the small bottles of seafoam.

For the areas that you can't reach, a great way to maintain the carbon deposits off for a while.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

Can you use this in oil before you change your oil

Hi Marc, happy to help you! This Sea Foam Motor Treatment (Part # SF16) is great for tuning up diesel engines and small engines. When added to diesel fuel tank, cleans fuel injectors, de-ices and removes moisture, cleans carbon as you drive, diesel fuel conditioner and anti-gel, lubricates upper cylinders, stabilizes fuel, adds lubricity. It is directed to pour into your fuel tank when it is near empty, and then get your tank topped up and it can be used in all gasoline or diesel engines.
Is seafoam works for 2013 Chevrolet Sonic LT?
Verified Reply - John the Car-Doc
Yes, Sheena! This Sea Foam Motor Treatment - Part # SF16 would work fine on your 2013 Chevrolet Sonic LT. Add this to fuel every 3,000 miles for your vehicle when driven regularly. For engine equipment used regularly, add this to a fresh tank fill every 3 months or sooner. For all other engines and fuel tanks (not used regularly), add this to every tank of fuel.
