Comments about Powerbuilt Tools Pilot Bearing Puller:

As designed, out of the box, this tool is completely worthless. The problem has to do with the chamfered jaws, that cause these puller jaws to slip out from behind the pilot bearing, thus failing to do its job - of removing the bearing. The engineers of the tool should've tried prototype versions of it a real world shop application - i.e., tested it - to identify this major flaw. A previous reviewer wrote about having to modify the jaws to make it work, but that wouldn't be necessary, had it been designed / built by competent personnel to begin with.

Comments about Powerbuilt Tools Pilot Bearing Puller:

Junk....whoever designed this was a total idiot who must never have tried to use it...the jaws are angled downward so it would never grab the bearing...you would have to file an ounce off the jaws to get it work MAYBE.........

Comments about Powerbuilt Tools Pilot Bearing Puller:

Product worked just great after I modified it a bit. The jaws were slanted allowing them to slip off the bearing race instead of holding it so it could be pulled out. I filed the jaws to square them up and then it worked fantastic.
