Great spark plug for the money. They hold up good. And in any vehicle from 69 to 89 maybe later models. These hold up just as good as any other name brand plug you can buy. So I would recommend this spark plug to anyone for any make vehicle up to a 89 model for sure maybe to a 96 either way they are a good dependable spark plug

Comments about NGK V-Power Spark Plug:

I have 1 cylinder that has bad piston rings and the stock spark plug I would have to replace every week. I think these plugs burn hotter because the oil doesn't foul them for about a month.

Comments about NGK V-Power Spark Plug:

Part of a complete tune up after truck failed emissions test. After spark plugs, dist. cap and rotor, truck passed easily. My opinion, it pays to spend a little more on quality plugs (without falling for gimmicks). Those of you with a little mechanical knowledge will understand what I mean by gimmicks.

Comments about NGK V-Power Spark Plug:

I run NGK spark plugs in everything and have never ran into any issues doing so.I run NGK platnum in everything with coil pack ignition and the standard non platinum in everything with a distributer.my 350hp 350 kept fouling out The junky accell spark plugs I had to run since they were the only short spark plugs that would clear my headers or so I though.I did a search online and found NGK had a shot spark plug that would work and my Chevy 350 hasn't ran as well as it does now with the NGK plugs since I built it

Are these plugs pre-gapped? I have a 1987 chevy 350 CID engine (TBI). DO i need to gap these plugs?

                  A:

The Gap Size of this part NGK V-Power Spark Plug, Part No. 2771 should be 0.04 inches.
A spark plug part number might fit hundreds of different engines from many different manufacturers. Although the spark plug from the factory will come with a gap to a pre-selected setting, this may not be the right gap for your particular engine. The incorrect plug gap for your engine can contribute to a high rate of misfires, loss of power, plug fouling, poor fuel economy, and accelerated plug wear. It is always best to check the gap against the manufacturer's specifications. If adjusting the gap on fine wire or precious metal plugs such as platinum or iridium be very careful not to apply any pressure or prying force to the fine wire center electrode or insulator as they can be damaged. The gap should be adjusted by only moving the ground electrode.
For compatibility of this part with your vehicle, please provide your vehicle's sub-model.
For any further assistance, please feel free to call us at 1-877-238-2623 or visit your nearest Advance Auto Parts store and our representatives would be more than happy to assist you.
