Comments about NGK Iridium IX Spark Plug (CR9EIX):

Used this Spark Plugs as a replacement for the NGK standart Plugs that came with the 06 GSXR-600 at 3000 miles, Nothing was wrong with the original plugs, I just installed Power Commander 5 and K&N Airfilter along with the Yoshimura Slip on Exhaust, so I figured to upgrade the Spark Plugs to a Better version. Don't forget to use anti seize on the treads and dielectric grease on the plug connection and always torque the plugs to the manufacturers specs.

Upgrade from nickel and copper plugs

Comments about NGK Iridium IX Spark Plug (CR9EIX):

If your plugs are worn, this is a good choice for replacement. The fine wire provides a more direct path for the spark to ease starting. The focused spark and hardened iridium gives the spark plugs extended life.

Comments about NGK Iridium IX Spark Plug (CR9EIX):

These plugs come with a removable tip. If using for a Triumph STR you have to remove it in order for the plug to fit into the coil. Some say they can feel an increase in power over the OEM NGK plugs. If there is its minimal. My reason for paying a little more for this plug over the OEM was there wasn't enough of a price difference to justify not using the best plug NGK has to offer for my bike.

I swear by NGK spark plugs. My dad and I use them in everything. Triumph, Harley, Corvette, BMW and we've never had a problem.

With reference to your inquiry on the NGK Iridium IX Spark Plug (CR9EIX) - Part No. 3521, all the spark plugs are pre-gapped from the factory, the fact remains that the gap must be adjusted for the vehicle that the spark plug is intended for. Those with modified engines must remember that a modified engine with higher compression or forced induction will typically require a smaller gap settings.
