Comments about Dorman - OE Solutions Upper Radiator Hose Coolant Filler:

Not listed to fit an 07 Caliber but was a perfect replacement. Saved my bacon on a Sunday afternoon since a replacement upper radiator hose was unavailable. Same as Gates 32948K1. Gates comes with the thermoset hose clamps; this comes with oem-like spring clamps.

                • Q:

This coolant neck says it doesn't fit my car but the dimensions appear to be the same. I have a 08 Dodge Avenger could I still use this?
Also would it matter if the dimensions were off a little?

I was told it doesn't matter as long as your hoses are attached and it's pressurized?

                    A:

This part is an exact fit for Dodge Dakotas and Durangos. It is up to you if you choose to use it, we are not able to recommend other than the exact fit one for your vehicle. I do not show that we carry an exact fit replacement for your model. If you do choose to use it, just make sure the hoses do not leak and the system holds pressure as you said.

Hi yapremjohn, good question! I researched and found that the outside diameter of this upper radiator hose coolant filler is 41mm.

                • Q:

I was wondering if I need to buy a hose, or actually two hoses. The orginal OEM filler neck used an odd sort of clamp, and I'm not sure of clamp disassembly on old hoses! Only see a upper and lower radiator hose listed for my vehicle! If upper hose is the correct hose, It should be a two part hose, with filler neck in between two hoses, and I do not see it listed in radiator hoses for my vehicle type!

                  • A:

the factory used plastic thermal clamps to secure the 2 hose's to the plastic fill valve.these plastic clamps can be carefuly cut off to remove the valve, than just insert new valve with supplied spring clamps.DO NOT USE SCREW TYPE CLAMPS OR YOU WILL CRUSH PLASTIC HOSE ENDS.
