These are hands down some of the best brakes we have used. We have a transportation company with drivers that have very little respect for our cars and we used to burn through brakes like crazy. Used these one time (rather than competitor brakes from other stores) and they have actually lasted longer than 10,000 miles and still going strong! Changed out all of our vehicles to carquest brand (personal and commercial) and have no intention of switching again as long as the quality and the price stay like they are.

I purchased a set. A rear and front pair last year. I only needed to install the tears at the time and under the advice of the store clerk that requested my vehicle information to look them up and didn't have these pair that I usually get, he suggested and sold me the initial pair that I recently attempted to install. Come to find out that they weren't compatible with my vehicle hence the whole return that was necessary which required this purchase.. the good thing about this purchase was that I was able to get the specific pair I wanted. However, they didn't have them at the store I visited and I had to go to another store to retrieve the item I needed. So there was a little running around I had to do.

low dust, initial bite isn't as good as some pads, but I wasn't looking for the initial bite, so I like the way they perform. BUT, they have a design flaw, causing them to make a clunking noise. Akebono knows about this. My 20$ wearever organic pads on the rear work great and make no noise.

My 2008 Mazdaspeed 3 was due for new front pads and rotors, so I opted for these pads and the Disc Brakes Australia T2 Street Series (DBA2962S). Installation was a breeze. With the rotor/pad combo, braking performance is enhanced over OEM pads/rotor. The OEM were very sensitive, and even the lightest touch would cause a jerk in braking. These rotors/pads are a little softer on initial braking, but bit just as hard when needed. It gives the car a more gentle braking experience for everyday driving where you are using light braking more often.

Did not fit my 2005 Audi A6 Quattro, the anti-vibration clip that mounts on the outside of the caliper does not latch. I thought it was fine until both front clips fell off within the first two weeks of normal use while driving. I tried to call the local store where I picked them up and the gentleman that took my call basically insinuated that I didn't know what I was doing and that resulted in the clips to fall off, that he had done many more brake jobs than me. Purchased a new set of clips from the competition and they too fell off within days. I decided to buy quality pads from FCP Euro, the pads came with new clips and have not had a problem since. Invest a little more Money on better quality pads and save your self frustration and being called dumb by the guy who picks up your call to complain
