Carquest Premium – Engine Coolant Temperature Switch (Part No.WTA1105)

Engine Coolant Temperature Switch

from

$19.49
The engine coolant temperature sender, not to be confused with the engine coolant temperature sensor, is located anywhere within the engine cooling system, and contains a thermistor that changes in resistance value as the thermistors ambient temperature changes. The engine coolant temperature sender is fed 12 volts and is typically used in conjunction with a gauge in the instrument cluster to provide a visual representation of the engine coolant temperature condition.

Product Features:
  • Tin plated lead frame prevents corrosion and ensures a reliable terminal connection under adverse ambient conditions.
  • Lead frame terminal size and location determined using image dimension measuring system or 3D laser scanner.
  • Thermally conductive grease within the housing providing the most accurate temperature transfer from the engine to the thermistor.
  • Plated brass or aluminum housings to prevent housing corrosion, ensures effective heat distribution to thermal element, and ensure a secure and leak-free thread mount.
  • Computer-Aided Design (CAD), laser scanning and 3D printing – utilizing Fused Deposition Modeling (FDM) and Stereolithography (SLA) – in the connector terminal design process ensures speed-to-market and a precise connector fit guaranteed.
