Metra AAP555GM installation kit replaces the OEM radio with an aftermarket radio for General Motors 1995 to 2012 models. This kit replaces the OEM radio and allows an aftermarket radio to be installed in the factory radio locations. This stereo installation kit has been engineered to help you install a 2 inch tall (Single-DIN) or a 4 inch (Double DIN) aftermarket radio into the original vehicle dashboard, making radio replacement simple. The dash kit is designed to match the original look and feel of the vehicle dashboard. Relays are electrical switches used to convert a small electrical load into a circuit capable of handling a high amperage load. Within a relay are contacts that are controlled with electromagnetism, when the circuit switch commands the device on or off, magnetism will pull or release the contact arm closing or opening the contacts within the relay that carry the voltage.
