GM Genuine Parts – Air Conditioning Refrigerant Temperature Sensor (Part No.15-72053)

Air Conditioning Refrigerant Temperature Sensor

from

$40.99
GM Genuine Parts A/C Refrigerant Temperature Sensors are designed, engineered, and tested to rigorous standards, and are backed by General Motors. These sensors measure the temperature of the refrigerant discharged from the evaporator core in the low side refrigerant line. The A/C refrigerant temperature sensor data is used to cycle the A/C compressor ON and OFF to prevent the evaporator core from freezing. GM Genuine Parts are the true OE parts installed during the production of or validated by General Motors for GM vehicles. Some GM Genuine Parts may have formerly appeared as ACDelco GM Original Equipment (OE).

Product Features:
  • This part requires programming and/or special setup procedures. GM Service Information describes the procedures and special tools needed to ensure proper operation in the vehicle
  • Measures refrigerant temperature released from the evaporator core
  • Some GM Genuine Parts may have formerly appeared as ACDelco GM Original Equipment (OE)
  • GM Engineers design and validate OE parts specifically for your Chevrolet, Buick, GMC, or Cadillac vehicle
  • Original equipment parts are designed to work with your GM vehicle safety systems — aftermarket replacement parts may not meet the same OE safety regulations, depending on the part type
  • GM regularly updates production and service part designs to integrate new materials and technologies

Carquest Premium – A/C Refrigerant Temperature Sensor (Part No.ABA1039)

A/C Refrigerant Temperature Sensor

from

$30.99
The temperature of various systems must be reported to the engine control module (ECM) as well as other operating system controllers in the vehicle. Coolant temperature, cabin temperature, exhaust temperature and ambient temperature are just a few systems reported by a temperature sensor. The temperature sensor is fed 5 volts by the systems computer, within the sensor housing will be a thermistor, or dropping resistor whose resistance value will change as the temperature surrounding it changes. Changing resistance in the circuit will change the volt signal at the processor indicating the current operating value.

Product Features:
  • Product constructed to meet all design and operating characteristics as intended by the vehicle manufacturer.
  • 100% thermo-shock and vibration tested to ensure superior performance in extreme conditions.
  • 100% end-of-line tested to ensure accurate signal output providing product reliability, every time.
  • Tin plated lead frame prevents corrosion and ensures a reliable terminal connection under adverse ambient conditions.
  • Lead frame terminal size and location determined using image dimension measuring system or 3D laser scanner.
  • Application matched components ensures system operation in like new condition.
