It is recommended to mount the PN 8202, PN 82023, and 8223 coils in an upright position. The High Vibration Coil, PN 8222, can be mounted in any position due to its epoxy potting compound.

This Blaster Coil is supplied with a ballast resistor. If your application uses a points distributor, the ballast must be used. Late-model electronic ignitions or an MSD Ignition do not require the ballast.

Edelbrock Ignition Coil No. 22739 is a universal 12-volt cannister-style coil designed as a high-quality direct bolt-on replacement for OEM ignition coils. Distributor cap boots and terminals are included so you can cut the wire to the desired length, then install the terminal with the supplied Mini-Stripper-Crimper.
