Engineered for faster rise time, longer spark duration and increased performance. Unique design with premium grade wire, special low resistance, high turns ratio windings. Produces higher spark energy with breakerless electronic ignition systems. For points application the supplied 0.85 ohm ballast resistor must be used in conjunction with the vehicle original ballast resistor, if so equipped. Oversized molded case with integral cooling fins and high capacity oil filled construction provide high thermal conductivity ensuring cool operation and long life. Extra tall tan Alkyd tower and integral voltage dam eliminate “flashover” to primary terminals. Comes complete with mounting hardware and 0.85 ohm ballast resistor. Effective up to 6,500 RPM.

Edelbrock Ignition Coil No. 22739 is a universal 12-volt cannister-style coil designed as a high-quality direct bolt-on replacement for OEM ignition coils. This advanced coil has a primary resistance of 1.4 ohms with an output of 42,000 volts. Internally, each Edelbrock Coil features heavy-duty primary and secondary windings for higher energy and greater spark that can help to provide quicker starts with improved idle quality. With a durable oil-filled housing, Edelbrock Coils are resistant to heat, shock and vibration with an effective operating range of 0 to 6,500 RPM.

An Ignition Capacitor is a device that will absorb excessive voltage spikes in electrical systems. The typical location or use for a capacitor is inside a distributor tied into a point ignition system. The ignition capacitor may also be called a radio capacitor or condenser used in electrical devices which may be susceptible to voltage spikes.
