This was recommended as the hose from the top of the water pump to the hard metal tubing going to my heater core in a 2003 Silverado 4.3l v6 "x" engine. Problem at that time was that it was way too long. Called a local GM dealer , the AC Delco equivalent hose was the exact same thing but he had notes on his computer terminal explaining the need to place the old hose on top of the new hose at the 90 degree bend and cut this hose to fit. He explained that GM was going to universal hoses to fit all the engine platforms and this cut to fit was more common on the newer models. Therefore some modification required on this application.
