    I needed a new headlight switch for my Jeep. The store had this part in stock. This switch is hard to get at in a Jeep and located in a confined space. The part fit exactly like OEM. It has a positive action and the lights are even brighter now!

    All the instrument panel lights and gauge lights would not illuminate on my newly acquired 1982 Jeep CJ-8 Scrambler and all indications were that it was due to a grounding problem. After triple checking all of the possible grounds I decided to swap out the headlight switch. I theorized that since the rheostate on the headlight switch controls the brightness of all the panel lights it just may be the problem. Well I was right! As soon as I installed the new lightswitch the instrument and gauge lights were shinning brightly once again. The hardest part of this installation was removing the harness connector plug from the switch. This task was made simple by using a magnetic LED light and a mechanics mirror.
