This alternator work good but the housing is different from the original, only use 2 bolts instead of 3, (the one in the back is been eliminated). The price is a little too high, but the alternator do the job the is suppose to do. Easy to install only take 5 to 10 min. of your time.

Used this in a 2006 Jeep commander with a Hemi. Part worked perfectly from the box. No issues or strange noises. My factory alternator had a bigger bolt on the output lug i swapped over to the new one as the one it come with if much smaller. But yes over all very happy.

the unit came with a dirty plug that had grease in it, so i'm relatively sure someone had installed it already. i drove out with it to down car before i noticed this. otherwise i would have at least had them test it for me. i told them when i brought the core back, and thought they might offer to come out, nd test it on the car, but they just reminded me that it has a warranty.

Had to swap pulleys, came with too wide of pulley for vehicle. Also had 10 mm nut rattling around inside, glad I heard it before installing,but had to break casing fin to get it out. Then the holes for the main pivot bolt where not aligned had remove and realign mounting sleeve to get bolt to slide through both holes without binding. Must have been first day on the job for the person that put this one together.

Alternator was identical to OEM as far as connections, bracket, but the pulley was 3/8" bigger than OEM, but with a struggle I got the serpentine belt on with a little muscle. Satisfied. Good purchase.

Purchased this alternator to replace one that was making noise. Took it out of the box gave it a spin and it seemed to bind up in spots. Was in a pinch and had to install the new one. See what happens. Do your self a favor and maybe go for the more expensive option.

Had to take the unit back as it failed to keep the proper voltage after about a week of use. Took it back to the store and they exchanged it. Reinstalled and seems to be working. Only time will tell.

This wire IS NOT 4 gauge wire!!! It is not OFC either, it's copper clad aluminum. It's shameful that this product is falsely advertised. The wire has 4 gauge printed on it but the wire itself is way smaller than 4 gauge, just has very thick insulation to fool someone that doesn't know any better. If you need 4 gauge wire look elsewhere and don't waste your time with this!!!.

If your trying to install this on your Jeep Cherokee XJ you've noticed it doesnt quite fit. It is going to require some tolerancing of the bracket. Break out a grinder or dremel and grind the point of contact until it fits. Be sure to keep your receipt, first one gave out on me fairly quick, had it warrantied no issue,

It may be a great alternator, but I'll never know since it doesn't fit as described. It's not an exact fit for a 98 cherokee, it's just a little too fat. It hits the frame when installing so the holes don't line up. May work on other vehicles, I don't know.
