When I started working on cars you would diagnose the problem and repair the part that failed. Not like todays so called techs that can't tell you how something works only how to replace it. Needed a solenoid not the whole starter.

This was an exact fit on my 1987 Jeep Wrangler with a 4.2 liter. It fixed a no start condition and it sounds like the starter is spinning a little faster with the new solenoid.

I installed the solenoid and reinstalled the starter and still "no click". I checked my vehicle for other issues only to find out it was the new solenoid defective out of the box.

Unit was defective and clerk would not refund. Also part said it would fit but was different. Had to get Manager to get refund and order correct part. Due to this I do not get the discount! Having much better experience at another supplier and their associates are much more qualified and experienced. Sorry.
