This ‘Up-Date’ switch acts like an ‘on/off’ switch with an in-line resistor that transmits a reduced signal to the gauge. The ‘on/off’ action of the up-date switch is like that of an ‘Idiot Light’ To have the pressure gauge work as normal/original – use part # LMD 5640AB.
