An essential component in the diesel electronic control system, this sensor provides the vehicle powertrain control module (PCM) with camshaft position and engine speed. The PCM uses this to calculate accurate fuel injection timing. Failure of this component can result in a check engine light, engine misfire, no-start condition and poor drivability.

Made In USA. 4 oz. Melling engine assembly lube, MELL-LUBE, is formulated to be an initial lubricant on camshaft metal surfaces as well as related valve train parts. The added zinc material (1400 ppm) provides MELL-LUBE with added protection to prevent scoring and galling during initial engine start-up for both newly rebuilt and / or remanufactured engines. In addition, MELL-LUBE contains corrosion inhibitors to prevent rust and pitting of components. MELL-LUBE mixes with any engine oil and will not clog filters. Melling recommends MELL-LUBE be a part of every camshaft install.
