This product is good for replacing your timing belt and water pump all at one time in your Honda Accord V6, since to do the water pump you have to get into the timing area anyway. Installation is so straightforward and simple that the average home mechanic could do it. When I was looking at this product prior to purchasing it, the description stated that the timing belt "tensioner" was not included, but when I received the timing belt/water pump kit, the tensioner was indeed included in the kit. I think Advance should update that product to reflect the fact that the tensioner IS included with the kit.

Bottom Line recommended

This product is good for replacing your timing belt and water pump all at one time in your Honda Accord V6, since to do the water pump you have to get into the timing area anyway. My water pump was leaking on my 20 honda accord. Couldn't justify paying over $600 for a shop to replace the pump and timing belt so decided to replace it myself. This kit plus the crankshaft pulley holder, and a couple of extensions a breaker bar and a 5 foot cheater pipe remove the pulley bolt which was 80% of the job. The kit has both the timing belt and balancer belt with both idler pulleys and water pump and gasket, all the parts you need to do a timing belt change on a honda accord.

I have installed 6 of these kits in the past few years. I put one in my daughter's MDX, and today the tensioner went out. My daughter is 1100 miles away from my shop serving our country . We got almost 12000 Mike's out of it, but it's almost 2 years old. Other than the tensioner, it's a good kit.
