Carquest Premium – Carquest Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Valve Control Solenoid, EGA1345 (Part No.EGA1345)

Carquest Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Valve Control Solenoid, EGA1345

from

$104.99
The EGR system is an emission control device designed to recirculate exhaust gas into the engines air intake system and back to the combustion chamber to control nitrogen oxides or NOx. The chemical NOx is created when oxygen and nitrogen are heated above 2,800-degree F. Exhaust gas, or gas that is displaced from the combustion chamber, contains little to no oxygen molecules. By recirculating this gas back into the combustion chamber fewer oxygen molecules are available for the combustion event which will therefore create a cooler combustion event. The EGR valve can be actuated by engine vacuum or electronically by the engine control module.
