Eagle Vision MAP-Barometric Pressures

Building upon a foundation of premium full-line products established under NGK ignition and oxygen sensor products, NTK’s expansion to technical sensors is part of our ongoing commitment to streamline product types and increase coverage under one premium brand NTK, The Sensor Specialist. With over 80 years of automotive expertise, NGK’s family of automotive products are driven by extreme dedication to innovation, performance and quality. is the only OE supplier with a full line of technical sensors in the aftermarket for import and domestic vehicles. Drawing from OE experience, sensors undergo extreme testing conditions that include thermal shock, vibration and OBD verification. sensors are manufactured to ensure a quality that meets or exceeds OE specifications. As new vehicles incorporate connected and automated technologies, trust The Sensor Specialist for full-line market support and OE application technology.

Pressure sensors are used within several operating systems on the vehicle. Subjects in this category measure the pressure of both liquid and air to include air in a positive pressure and negative pressure range. Pressure sensors report out as the result of an electrical device called a strain gauge which produces an analog or digital signal output dependent on the needs of the circuit. Pressures may be very low such as barometric pressure, or extremely high such as in a high-pressure fuel injection system.

The Premium CarQuest Vehicle Solutions line of vehicle electronics are designed for OE form, fit and function for both import and domestic vehicles. The A/C Pressure Switch monitors system pressures, aiding in proper and efficient control of the compressor, fans and system levels. An improperly functioning A/C Pressure Switch will provide erratic or inaccurate actuation and operation, severely affecting system performance and function. Without reliable and accurate actuation from a properly functioning A/C Pressure Switch, critical components and the system as a whole are left unregulated and unprotected which can lead to excessive wear and tear on critical components and costly system damage.
