I have never replaced a cylinder lock in my life and bought this product and was able to do it with minimal effort . The only thing I had trouble with was not having a T20 trix screwdriver skinny enough to go up inside of my steering column and take the screws out of the plastic. I had to spend $20 and buy a new screw driver set. Big deal, more tools to add to my collection that I'll need in the future! I would highly recommend this product to anyone who is replacing their cylinder!

I bought this item to replace a 20 year old lock cylinder in my Dodge Ram 1500 Laramie. The old cylinder was acting up and would not go into the accessory position. I also bought the mating ignition switch as both parts were 20 years old. It was just as easy to put both in a the same time and I didn't want to run the risk of either part failing when I least expected it. So far a worth while investment and I was pleased with the quality. Steve M.

This lock cylinder does not work smoothly. It has a differant type of key than the original, The old key jams up in the new lock if I'm not careful which key i'm using. I think that this product is overpriced for a baseline iginition lock. I thought that with paying more I would get a better prodict, I was wrong.
