My 96 dodge Ram 1500 4x2 has been suffering from Death wobble. It has 130k on the odometer. I have never lubed the steering components. I will start now! Anytime I hit a pothole or small indentation in the asphalt the front wheels would shimmy back and forth repeatedly, shaking the entire truck violently! I had to come to almost a complete stop for it to quit. Very scary! Especially with a child in the car. I replaced the pitman arm (totally shot), idler arm, and both tie rod ends (outer and inner). Having the ball joints pressed into these new tie rods saved a ton of time, I just bolted them right up! This got rid of my problem. No more Death Wobble!

Fits perfect. Just be prepared for the other tie rod ends to be a pain to get off.

From Indiana
I'm retired so I don't drive a lot. When I do it's all interstate or highway miles. No rough stuff other than typical Indiana roads. I installed ALL new suspension and steering parts in my 2005 Dodge Rumble Bee. These inner tie rods wore out and started getting slop within 6 months! Absolute junk! I have warranty but who would want to put another set of these on their vehicle?

Brought both inner and outer tie rods. They came with 3 of 4 nuts of different size. 3 were 13/16, 2 of these the same height about 3/4 inch the last was about 1/2. The last nut was 7/8 inch by 1 1/16.

Save your money. Within 3 days of installing both inner tie rods have play at the ball socket. You can hear and feel it when you turn the wheel side to side.
