The smells are great. I've tried many different ones. Favorite is linen and sky, and the gain ones. However they last nowhere near 40days. Lol I have to laugh at that. Every one I've purchased even with the dial closed the liquid in it only lasted a week at most. The Sent does linger on the item for a few more days after the liquid is gone. Kind of disappointing. I did have one last 2 weeks once. They last even less when you have to use your car heat alot.

If installing on a club cab truck this product whould be fine. In this case, my truck is a standard cab. Had to shorten the extension pipe for a proper fit. Consider replacing the upstream O2 sensor while the converter assembly is off. Much easier to get at before installing the new catalytic converter.

I went with Advanced Auto (vs. AutoZone) for the Online order which included $25.credit offer on my over $200. purchase. Lost that when I had to exchange product at store and NO WAY to use my Paypal in store vs.online. Should be able to do exchanges on same creditcard. Followed input info to order online but still got wrong product. Wasted mechanic's time doing exchange. Messed up my day twice. The converter is nicely made, it welded in very well and was a good fit. It cleared my code for down steam 02 sensor. I can't say anything but good about it but need to see how long it lasts for a solid opinion. Magnaflow offers a heavy metal version that has better catalyst that may be a better choice for longevity. I did not know this before I bought and installed mine.

This replaced the original converter on my 99 Dakota 4WD Club Cab. You will need the 'optional' 2.5" extension pipe if you have this same truck (131" wheelbase). If you are unsure of your wheelbase, here is a good site that can help you (scroll down to "1997 Dodge Dakota specifications"). If the need for the extension pipe was more clear in the description, I would give it 5 stars. After all, it calls itself a 'direct' fit, and it really wasn't for my truck.

The spec is incorrect. The Inlet is 3 inches, and the outlet is 2 1/2 inches. If you choose the 2 1/2 inlet there will be a flow restriction. If this is of any concern, use the 3 inch inlet, outlet converter, and an adapter on the outlet to bring it back to 2 1/2 inch pipe. Good product!

I bought this online and replaced it myself. Now I have to replace it under warranty because the guts have broken up and are rattling. The problem is I have to BUY another one, pay someone to replace it and wait 3-5 days for a refund on my credit card. I don't know about other people but I don't have that kind of money. What kind of warranty makes you BUY another part and hold your money?

May need to rent the pipe expander for the muffler if using old muffler. It helps getting the pipe into muffler much easier. Suggest a pipe wrench to loosen oxygen sensor from pipe.

This is a good aftermarket cat that you will have to modify to fit your vehicle. This a universal cat that is determined to be an exact fit based on the engine you have in your vehicle and it's displacement. Exhaust flow rates will be different from a 4 to a 10 cylinder which means that all parts of an exhaust system have to be sized to meet a minimum flow rate to allow the exhaust gases to pass through without causing restrictions and hurting power and gas mileage.

I purchased this converter for my 97 Toyota t-100 because it was less expensive than the OEM. The fit was fine. The 02 sensor was farther down the line and did not affect the install. The sound is very loud. Too loud for me. It is so loud, I had to check for an exhaust leak. No leaks, and very noisy. Also the 02 sensor/engine light came back on within a few hours.

I suppose this is a good value if you just need a simple converter with no oxygen sensor to worry about. I had to return it because my Jeep uses an oxygen sensor that screws directly into the converter. This unit has no such port. I was told by the mfg. that I would have to cut into the exhaust pipe and weld in an O2 port. That's above my pay grade. So I found a direct fit unit with the port already installed.

We were discouraged after being told there was only one y pipe and one cat....to find out they got us the wrong one. Called back after trying to install, manager found the correct part (a y with cat). Also they only said we needed one box of parts for the 2 manifolds turns out we needed 2. I think some more training for in house staff is needed, in addition to revamping your database.

Sorry, not a direct fit. OEM length is 26.5" not 18". Needed to purchase pipe connectors & a few adaptors to acquire extra length to connect pipe leading into muffler. Also advise purchasing 3" Walker band seal clamps for air & water leak-proof seal.

Dodge Dakota 4X4 Quad 5.9L has 4 oxygen sensors. Which I did not find out until I went to install this part. No fault of Advanced Auto Parts, the Walker site showed this as being the right part for my truck also. Yes it probably is a Direct Fit only if I wanted to leave two sensors unhooked.
