I'm told by numerous mechanics that the iridium plug will work on my 2004 Chevy Avalanche but is NOT recommended by them or Chevy. They say the iridium plug was developed for Volkswagen and not the correct plug for my engine. Why didn't your rep's or your website inform me of that!?

Plugs are good quality NGK, but had to open gap to 0.060" from pre-set 0.40" that is for later model GM 4.8 L V-8. My engine is 1999 that requires 0.060". If I had to do over, I would get AC Delco OEM plugs with pre-set gap at 0.060", IF available. Pre-set is better if you can get it when gap difference is large.
