The ZF 6HP19Z series transmission is a very durable and powerful unit which can last for many miles if serviced in time to allow the valve body to maintain proper fluid pressure. The slightest drop in valve body fluid pressure in this unit leads to premature transmission bushing and or clutch wear along with contamination and overheating of the fluid.
