Pulstar Spark Plugs use innovative plasma-assisted combustion technology to increase horsepower and torque. Plasma-assisted combustion is already used to improve engine performance in race cars, but requires complex control systems and costs nearly $2,000 per cylinder. Pulstar Spark Plugs, manufactured by Enerpulse Technologies, brings plasma-assisted combustion to consumers with a simple spark plug upgrade. Pulstar uses a patented internal capacitor, developed with the help of a US DoE laboratory, to create a high-intensity electrical pulse that ionizes the air-fuel mixture and saturates it with combustion-enhancing plasma. With its plasma-assisted combustion, Pulstar ignites fuel instantly and burns it rapidly; gaining up to 7 horsepower, 9 ft.-lbs. of torque ... and, delivering wicked throttle response.

These plugs are so bad due to their low quality. I thought I lost my engine yesterday. Only about 20 days and 500 miles since I installed them. Just on the highway on the way home at 65 MPH yesterday car started running not on all cylinders, it was running so bad i was sure the engine was finished. Just made it home. After cleaning up the mess it made on the top of the engine I found the top of the spark plug had exploded and the central terminal had ejected from the plug, so it was like the spark plug wasn't even installed in the cylinder, hence the mess. When I say the top of the plug exploded, I mean it really did exploded, it even blew up the spark plug boot that was on it. Granted these plugs did give better low end power than the stock plugs, but based on how they failed, they are clearly low quality and not reliable enough for daily use. Please save your money and time.
