The ABS or Anti-Lock Brake System ECU monitors the Wheel Speed Sensors rotational speed for anti-lock brake function, stability control and traction control. The ABS sensors report the speed of all four wheels to the ECU to determine if the wheels are locking up and to help provide safer stopping. Reasons for replacement include: ABS/brake lamp illumination, no or erratic ABS operation or problems with stability and or traction control systems.

The Secondary Air Injection system is an emission control device designed to pump fresh air into the engine exhaust system to reduce harmful emissions and convert the emission into harmless water vapor via a chemical reaction. The Accelerator Pedal Position (APP) sensor provides a signal identifying the location of the accelerator pedal to the engine control module. As the vehicle operator requests various degrees of torque from the engine the signal from the sensor provides the engine computer the necessary information to implement the request. The sensor provides two positive slope signals that have an offset voltage range and increase at different rates, the two signals from the sensor provide the engine computer with two unique signal inputs ensuring safety should one signal fail.
