Put this filter on a 2014 Ram w/ 5.7L. It dropped the oil pressure so much that the variable camshaft timing system wouldn't work. Truck ran terrible until I changed it out for a standard filter. Oil pressure returned to normal and is running fine now. Seems like there are a lot of people that have the same issue with this filter on a hemi. Might work great for some engines, just be careful and pay attention to your gauges.

The section that bolts to the block is separated at each port by a cut, I was not able to get the last two bolts in the back by the firewall. I had the same problem with the factory one I took off, so can't really say if that was a problem or not. It might actually be a good idea, each section probably heats up differently so this design allows for some expansion at the individual ports. The edges are sharp where it was milled, be careful handling it, and the deck wasn't super flat, was high in the middle about a half a cm as per my straight edge, but didn't seem to be a problem. But all in all, for the price, I was happy with it, after a 20% discount. I circled an example of the slots in the pic I attach.

I have used Valvoline in all my cars for over 40 years.....and have NEVER had any of them burn oil. I'm so glad that they make a 0W-20 European synthetic motor oil certified for use in my VW GTI. It's great product at a great price!

I use Valvoline in all of my vehicles. I use High mileage 5w30 Syn blend on my 08 Sierra. This oil gives me a good four to five thousand miles between changes. Truck purrs like a kitten. Great oil for cold starts in the winter. I highly recommend.

I had a quick rattle on startup 2007 Mustang 4.6 L @ 58K miles. I tried other premium oil and filters and was beginning to think it was a more serious mechanical issue. I switched to this oil and a (another brand ultra-synthetic) filter (because they don't sell Pennzoil filters in my area), and the noise was instantly gone. From the first crank, no more. Startup is smooth, quick, easy. Motor and car run noticeably smoother. The product says it provides the same protection as 5W-20, so I'm covered there. Looking forward to trying this stuff out.
