ATP – ATP Automatic Transmission Flex Plate, Z-628 (Part No.Z-628)

ATP Automatic Transmission Flex Plate, Z-628

from

$59.99
Vehicles with automatic transmissions have a flex plate. The flex plate connects the engine and transmission. Most flex plates are made of a thick piece of sheet metal with bolt holes for the torque converter and teeth for the starter. The job of a flex plate is to allow for expansion of the torque converter as engine RPM increases. The constant expansion and contraction of a flex plate over time can result cracks and/or shearing of the flex plate. A damaged flex plate can create serious (expensive) damage. Broken flex plates can not be repaired, they must be replaced. ATP flex plates are made of high quality steel and contain the correct bolt hole spacing and ring gear teeth just like the original part to ensure long life and durability.

Hays – Hays SFI Flexplate: 07-Up Mopar/Jeep 5.7/6.1L, 11-021 (Part No.11-021)

Hays SFI Flexplate: 07-Up Mopar/Jeep 5.7/6.1L, 11-021

from

$212.99
Hays heavy-duty flexplates for Gen III Hemi engines are constructed of a thicker than stock steel plate, enabling them to withstand the stress of high-stall torque converters and today’s high-RPM engines. Designed to work with NAG1, ZF 8HP70, and 8HP90 transmissions. While factory stock plates tend to crack around the crankshaft hub when punished under high torque and RPM conditions, the thicker Hays Flexplate handles the force. These H.D. flexplates are supplied with a ring gear that is securely welded in place. All Hays heavy-duty flexplates are zinc-dichromate plated to resist corrosion and are SFI certified under specification 29.1.
