The K&N 57-1566 FIPK air intake system replaces the restrictive factory air filter and air intake housing in specific Jeep Wrangler models. This intake system utilizes an oil free, 7-1/2″ tall inverted top conical 360 degree radial flow performance air filter with 5-layers of progressive cotton media with 2-layers of non-woven synthetic media providing 99.7% cumulative efficiency for maximum filtration. (US PAT 06811588). One Piece 3″ Mandrel-Bent aluminum intake tube directs unrestricted airflow from the filter to the throttle body for more horsepower and torque. Sturdy 18 Gauge Powder-Coated One-Piece Heat Shield blocks performance-robbing engine heat. This heat shield requires no assembly and uses fac tory mounting locations for fast and easy installation. All clamps, couplings, and hardware are included for hassle-free installation. This is a direct bolt-on kit that requires no cutting or drilling on factory parts.

A custom computer designed roto-molded housing eliminates the use of multiple components and ensures the coolest air intake charge available. A clear sight window allows for filter inspection without removal of the airbox. The roto-molded housing is made out of black cross-linked polyethylene. The housing is designed to retain the same water fording height as the factory intake system while providing more air flow and better protection. This System uses a CAD designed, dyno-tuned, roto-molded intake tube to achieve maximum power gains while maintaining a perfect fit. This tube has built-in resonance chambers to catch un-wanted air intake noises.
