This MSD to Dodge harness is designed to provide a splice free and simple installation of an MSD Ignition control to late model Dodge vehicles equipped with the coil.

Engineered with optimized low resistance, high turns ratio windings around an M36 high silicone magnetic steel E-core for higher energy and voltage outputs. Results in quicker starts, improved idle quality, crisper throttle response and more high RPM power. Compatible with late model Ford EEC-IV computer controlled ignition system equipped with a TFI distributor. Direct OEM replacement. Can also be used with an ACCEL, Mallory, Crane, Holley or MSD capacitive discharge ignition system. Special high temperature epoxy resists shock and vibration, while increasing thermal conductivity. Brass coil wire contact increases energy efficiency and resists corrosion better than aluminum. High dielectric strength ACCEL Yellow over-molded housing.

MSD offers these two 4-tower coils as replacements for a variety of years ranging from 1994-2003 on vehicles including Mitsubishi, Neon’s and others. Note: flat terminals are used on PN 8239. Some OE coils use round terminals. The MSD coil features flat terminals. Contact MSD customer service for the connector to convert round terminals to flat. Mallory’s UNILITE (R), and magnetic breaker less ignition modules are self contained module assemblies which have no moving parts to wear out. Using Mallory’s time tested breaker less ignition circuit, combined with modern surface mount thermal-clad construction, these ignition modules can drive both OEM and high performance ignition coils. For best results always use a Mallory PROMASTER coil or a Mallory chrome electronic ignition coil. These are also an excellent choice for triggering one of the Mallory HyFire series of electronic ignition controls. Hookup is as easy as a three wire connection.

Delivers optimum performance when used with these Mallory ignition products: UNILITE (R) distributor with a HYFIRE (R) capacitive discharge ignition, magnetic breaker less distributor with a HYFIRE (R) capacitive discharge ignition, or dual point distributor. Effective to approximately 6500 RPM when used with a point type distributor (depending on engine combination).
