Made In USA. Several Melling oil pump applications require the use of an oil pump shaft guide. Melling provides high quality shaft guides for specific pump applications. An oil pump shaft guide is necessary to connect the oil pump drive shaft to the intermediate drive shaft. Melling recommends installing a new oil pump shaft guide when it is needed.

Made In USA. Melling Engine Oil Priming Tank was developed as a way for engine builders to safely pre-prime the engine with oil prior to initial engine startup. The priming tank, when filled with clean oil and air pressure pumps oil into all of the critical areas of the new engine quickly and safely.

Increase in volume of 25% over stock oil pump. The drive shaft has been manufactured from chrome-moly steel. The drive and idler shafts have been extended to allow for additional support in the cover. Additional support eliminates dynamic shaft deflection at increased RPM levels. The cover is doweled to the pump housing to assure alignment of the shaft bores. The relief valve has a screw-in plug instead of a pin. The housing and cover are CNC machined and phosphate coated. An additional spring, the original stock replacement is supplied which will reduce bypass pressure if needed. Includes 12770 chrome moly intermediate shaft with steel guide. Includes lower pressure spring and self locking socket head bolts with wrench for use with bolt on screen pumps. Melling high performance Shark Tooth oil pumps are recommended for all applications where a high performance oil pump is needed.
