The Mallory Promaster Classic series ignition coil is designed to meet today’s specialized ignition requirements. This coil features a faster rise time and increased spark duration (compared to stock) to increase performance. It has a glass-filled polyester case and oil-filled construction to ensure a long life and no energy loss from arcing. This coil also offers excellent wire retention with a spark plug type secondary post, and brass contact terminals.

For a long time, racers have known that one of the best things to do to an engine to improve performance is to stabilize the ignition timing. The MSD Flying Magnet Crank Trigger system does exactly that by using four magnets embedded in an aluminum wheel. Although similar in appearance to other crank triggers, the MSD Flying Magnet design works on a different principle. Most crank triggers have a wheel, with steel studs sticking out, bolted to the harmonic balancer. As the crankshaft turns, the studs pass by a stationary magnetic pick-up, triggering the ignition. This pick-up can be triggered by other bolts, debris, or even vibrations which will cause a loss of power or engine damage.

“Engineered from the inside out, the 8.5 offers everything you have ever wanted in a wire, incredibly low resistance without electronic interference. In a single 12 inch length of Super Conductor Wire there is only 40 – 50 ohms of resistance. That is the lowest resistance of any helically wound wire. To accomplish this, we use a copper alloy conductor due to it’s great voltage carrying capabilities. The low resistance results in less loss in spark energy so more reaches the spark plug. The conductor is wound extremely tight around a special center core. So tight in fact, that there is over 40 feet of conductor wrapped into a single foot of plug wire. The oversized 8.8mm wire features a double silicone construction rated at over 600 F and 60kV.
