The job of a flex plate is to allow for expansion of the torque converter as engine RPM increases. The constant expansion And contraction of a flex plate over time can result cracks And/or shearing of the flex plate. A damaged flex plate can create serious (expensive) damage. Broken flex plates can not be repaired, they must be replaced. B&M has you covered with our high performance flexplate designed for GM 1998-up 4.8L, 5.3L, 5.7L & 6.0L LS engines with 6-bolt crankshaft flange, including 2010-15 Camaro with L99 engine. Features include high tensile strength steel construction to resist elongation and cracking, 10.75 and 11.06 inch converter mounting locations, 168 tooth ring gear with double-sided welds for added strength and comes with SFI 29.1 safety certification insuring the ultimate in safety and performance.
