ATE wheel cylinders are made in part from extruded aluminum section and are therefore relatively light, resistant to corrosion and to brake fluid, and provide a longer service life than conventional wheel cylinders. ATE Wheel cylinders are subject to extensive safety testing before being added to the range. Tests of sealing at low and at high pressure and of resistance to wear are included. The production is certified to ISO 1400, and, thanks to our strict internal ATE N standard, they significantly exceed the statutory requirement. The grooved ring cup seals consist of EPDM. The surface protection of the wheel cylinder housing contains no Cr-6, and therefore also satisfies the EU end-of-life vehicle directive.
