Herbst will be making his first start of the 2018 season for Joe Gibbs Racing at Iowa Speedway this weekend, marking the first time that Herbst will be competing in one of the top-three NASCAR sanctioned series.  Herbst does have prior experience at Iowa Speedway, having competed in the K&N Pro Series West in 2016 and the ARCA Racing Series in 2017.

"I am super pumped to be making my first top-three NASCAR Series start this weekend at Iowa Speedway!  We are coming into the week with expectations of learning every single lap, in hopes of having our Toyota Camry up front by the end of the race.  Iowa is a super cool track with a lot of racking lines so should be a great weekend for this No. 18 team," says Herbst of the upcoming race.

With a total of 46 starts at Iowa Speedway, JGR has 5 wins, eight poles, 16 top-five finishes, 28 top-10 finishes and an average start of 5.8 with an average finish of 10.5.  In the NASCAR Xfinity Series, Kyle Busch, Sam Hornish Jr., Erik Jones and Ryan Preece all hold victories at Iowa Speedway for JGR.  Looks like Herbst will be in great company this weekend.

The No. 18 Advance Auto Parts Toyota Camry will be on display this week for the American Ethanol 250, and this will mark the first time that Advance Auto Parts will be the primary sponsor for Herbst.  The event is scheduled for Sunday June 17th 2018 at 5:00 p.m. ET.  Watch and listen live on FS1, Sirius XM Channel 90 and MRN Radio.
