The top o-ring on the piston failed and leaked all over the assembly and the wheel. Luckily no catastrophic failure occured. Had to also replace the new pads that got fluid soaked during this time. I must assume that this would be a rare ocurrance, so, I used the same manufactured replacement item. [...]

These calipers were installed with new Wearever rotors and pads less than 2 years ago. Both calipers seized causing drag and the rotors to heat up badly. When returning home in 30 degree weather, the last 3 miles were mostly up hill with only light braking. I checked the rotor temperatures with an IR thermometer. Both front rotors were over 650F. The rear rotors were 110F. I need to do a complete brake job, but not with these calipers.

Comments about Wearever Unloaded Caliper w/Bracket -Domestic:

I bought these to replace a three year old set of Powerstop calipers that had a seized piston. I've had them installed for about a week or so and have not had any issues. Mounted right up, no issues.
