Brakes are designed as a system and all the parts need to work together for best performance. Brake service experts agree - When brake friction materials are ready to be replaced, the hardware is too. A complete brake job includes new hardware that could prevent comebacks after going a long way.

Product Features:
  • Restores brakes to like-new performance
  • Minimizes drag to improve gas mileage
  • Helps deliver a quieter braking system
  • Prevents noise and premature wear

Comments about Wearever Drum Brake Hardware Combi-Kit:

I had to stop in mid-work, because the package did not have c-clips, small but important parts that should be replaced when replacing brake shoes. I cannot find any store that sells c-clips, including the car dealer parts department where I bought the car.

When it comes to your car's safety, brakes top the list of systems that need monitoring. So, I would suggest taking your vehicle to a certified mechanic for a proper diagnosis and assistance.

      • A:

In general you should always change brakes in sets, both driver and passenger side at the same time. Avoid changing only one side.

    • Q:

I have a 93 cadillac Deville, 4.9L V8 and I was wondering what parts/information I would need to covert my rear drum brakes from this type of brake to the traditional. I found that according to your site, part #7028 works on 93 deville's, but I need to know how to convert them. I am having SEVERE problems with the system currently on it. Thank you.

        A:

This is just a hardware kit to replace the weakened hardware of the stock brake. Converting the drum brake into a disc brake involves a lot of changes. Professional help needed in this conversion. We suggest you to check with a local mechanic before ordering any parts for the conversion.
