Part # 52292 does not fit a Mercury/Mariner 8mm connector
So I did a Google search for a Mercury/Mariner fuel quick connect and the Advanced Auto ad came up. The item description said universal fit. I knew better as each manufacturer has specific characteristics a out the components as to the distance between the stud and fuel port, diameter of the fuel port, diameter of the alignment stud.... But the item description did specifically for any manufacturer. So I took a chance and ordered it. Sure enough, when the package came in, it said clear as daylight by the manufacturer, Yamaha. This one is on Advanced Auto for having poor item descriptions and applications lists. Hopefully they take it back at a local store that didn't have the part originally so that I don't have to pay for more shipping that cost more than the part.
Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend
