Comments about ToughOne AC Compressor with Clutch:

Went through 2 compressor. I believe the first was from "Factory Air" the second one was this. First lasted about 3 months before locking up. Second one never made pressure. Manufacturer would not comp me labor but the people in the store were nice enough to meet half way and comp it themselves due to my obvious frustration. This is a rather large job on VR6 GTI.

    • Q:

How much oil does the compressor come with, and where is the oil fill? Do you have a diagram of the compressor?

When replacing the compressor, the new compressor will already have the specified amount of oil in it. Adjust the oil amount, so that the amouny remains the same as that of the removed compressor and install the new compressor. The two lines that bolt to the compressor is where the oil goes. Use a tool that will allow you to add with freon in it.
