I use this product in my 2001 Volvo for five months. They offered great performance, but were expensive and burned out very quickly compared to the other bulbs I've used. My car does use the low beams as daytime running lights, so this may have caused them to wear out exceptionally fast.

It's a good performance bulb, but don't expect them to last very long.

Comments about Sylvania H7 SilverStar Ultra Halogen, Pack of 2:

New bulbs fit right in and work fine. I like the white light that they put out and the wider pattern. Much better than the more yellow light that comes from the standard bulbs.

A bit pricey at $49/pair and the car takes 4 bulbs to lamp it up, but I'm still glad I made the change. I can see a whole lot better at night

Comments about Sylvania H7 SilverStar Ultra Halogen, Pack of 2:

I've tried other varieties of the Sylvania bulbs, but I always come back to the Ultras. Yes, they do have a shorter life than lower-output bulbs, but most of my driving is during daylight hours, so I will still get years of use from the Ultras. These bulbs are a significant upgrade over OEM halogen bulbs, and are a great safety upgrade for young drivers. You do need to be careful not to touch the bulb directly with your bare hands (I hold the bulbs carefully with a clean cloth). The installation is simple -- just remove the old ones, and plug the new ones in. Total install time for both bulbs was under 10 minutes.

Comments about Sylvania H7 SilverStar Ultra Halogen, Pack of 2:

Encouraged by manufacturer's rebate I bought and installed the SilverStar ULTRA Twin headlights when my stock low beams burned out. The Ultras exceeded my expectations. They reach farther down the road. Have a wider, much brighter beam. Well worth the extra price. Knowing that they have a shorter service life than stock, I have now bought another pair.

Yes, it can be used as both the high and low beam headlights for your vehicle application.

          • A:

High and low beam bulbs usually have three spade connecters at the base of the bulb. the example above only has two so it's for high beam only.

Make sure not to touch the glass bulb of the H7 with your fingers or the oil left on the bulb from your skin will reflect the energy from the filament back into itself and cause it to burn out in short order.
