My originals went bad a year or two ago. Wish I had bought these earlier. Now I can use the back glass, instead of having to lift the entire back hatch.

Comments about Strong Arm Lift Support:

Easy and fast install on our 2004 Grand Cherokee. If replacing the factory window glass supports on this vehicle, do them one at a time and remove the bolt-in bottom mount first. Then pry out the plastic caps/retainers on the top mount about 1/4" with a small screwdriver to release them, and this will enable you to work the support off the ball stud easily with maybe just a tiny bit of coaxing. (The caps/retainers don't come all the way out.)

Here's a general tip I discovered when replacing lift struts. The first thing I do is support the liftgate, glass, or hood with an old adjustable shower curtain rod. The rubber tips on the ends protect the car's finish and you can adjust the rod to the perfect length. This is especially useful if you're doing the job alone.

Happy to help you with your question Mark! We currently do no ship to other counties. What some customers do; they have secondary shippers that usually ship out of Florida, the parts are shipped to Florida then sent to where the customer is located. Along with a credit card with an American address for the parts to be paid for. These lift supports are sold individually.

                    A:

Instructions to install the lift support: 1. Lift the tailgate and use a ladder or another object to completely support the tailgate door while you remove the lift support strut. Use your screwdriver to remove the little clip from the tailgate strut or use your socket ratchet tool to unscrew the bolts. Remove the clip with your hands or screwdriver and pull the strut from the joint. 2. Remove the strut lift support with your hands. Pull it off the top part of the door while you hold the tailgate with your other hand. Then remove the other end of the strut from the corner of the vehicle. Pull out the little clip from the strut with your screwdriver and then remove the strut. Your lift support is now totally removed. 3. Reattach the new tailgate strut. Push the clips back into the strut and then push the strut back onto the little joints. Place the object that is holding the tailgate up on the other side and work on the other side of the tailgate the same way. For any further assistance, please feel free to call us at: 1-877-238-2623 or visit the nearest Advance Auto Parts store and one of our Parts Pros will gladly assist you with any questions or concerns you may have.
